Assembly Operator
Location: Apollo Optical Systems
Type of position: Hourly Non-exempt
Hours per week: 40 + any approved overtime
Reports to: President Manufacturing
The Assembly Operator is responsible for producing parts consistent with the high quality levels required by Apollo Optical Systems. The Assembly Operator performs assembly operations, using assembly production books to guide the assembly process and inspection, packages product, and maintains records for daily production. The Assembly Operator is responsible for performing visual inspection on all parts according to the Quality Plan.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform Visual Inspections
- So small part assembly via mechanical means, adhesives, heat staking or ultrasonics.
- Visual inspection via eye, magnifiers or camera systems.
- Package products according to requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of assembly cell
- Keep accurate documentation.
- Follow company documentation and ISO 9001/ISO 13485 quality system requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Other potential duties:
- Relief / backup operator for Molding Operators
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous molding or optical cosmetic inspection experience
- Good visual acuity and eye-hand coordination is a must.
