Marketing Operations Specialist

The Marketing Operations Specialist is responsible for driving funnel growth and optimizing the sales process to accelerate new business development. This individual will develop and execute marketing initiatives aligned with Apollo’s growth objectives, overseeing demand generation, content strategy, digital marketing, and brand positioning. In addition, the position oversees sales enablement and process improvements to enhance pipeline tracking, optimize CRM usage, and measure performance. The ideal candidate brings B2B marketing experience in a technical environment, exceptional CRM skills, and the ability to bridge commercial activities to business outcomes.

 

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Meet or exceed the quarterly goals for leads and opportunities as set by the CEO.
  • Develop integrated campaigns to promote awareness and generate leads within our target segments. The end-to-end Demand Generation Program will support Sales Play Systems and accelerate the Sales Process, which are anchored in our Qualification Framework MEDDICC.
  • Build and optimize online lead generation programs, including e-mail marketing, third-party media programs, social media, and website content to drive inbound leads and enhance online visibility.
  • Create marketing deliverables, including but not limited to writing and designing brochures, advertisements, emails, direct mail, website content, and social media posts.
  • Coordinate events, including tradeshows, speaking engagements, and seminars.
  • Oversee brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to identify new opportunities and candidates for abandonment to enhance the competitive advantage of Apollo.
  • Manage and enhance the customer relationship management (CRM) system, ensuring accurate data input, reporting, and usability.
  • Analyze sales data, pipeline metrics, and performance trends to provide the sales leadership team with actionable insights
  • Collaborate with sales and operations and teams to drive integrated sales initiatives.
  • Manage third party agencies and other vendors.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

 

Job Qualifications Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 3 years B2B marketing experience in a technical environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to conceive, produce, write and edit content.
  • Solid grasp of digital marketing techniques, including SEO, PPC, and social media marketing.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and customers effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

 

Work Environment:

  • Work from home or Rochester, NY office.
  • Some travel by air and land.

 

Physical Demands:
