Molding Operator
Location: Apollo Optical Systems
Type of position: Hourly Non-exempt
Hours per week: 40 + any approved overtime
Reports to: Production Supervisor
The Molding Operator is responsible for producing parts consistent with the high quality levels required by Apollo Optical Systems. The Molding Operator runs assigned molding machines, using molding production books to guide machine operation, packages product, and maintains records for daily production. The Molding Operator is responsible for performing visual inspection on all parts according to the Quality Plan.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform Visual Inspections
- Operate Molding machine.
- Degate with sidecutters / CNC mill
- Package products according to requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of molding cell
- Fill material hoppers
- Keep accurate documentation of rejects and hours worked
- Relief / backup operator
- Follow company documentation and ISO 9001/ ISO 13485 quality system requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Other Potential Duties:
- Molding process material handler
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous molding or optical cosmetic inspection experience
- Good visual acuity is a must.
