Quality Control Technician - A or B Shift

Apollo Optical Systems is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician at Apollo Optical you will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to delivering top-notch products to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished products.
    • Utilize cutting-edge equipment and testing methods to ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality control processes.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance overall product quality.
    • Ability to program Zeiss CMM.
    • Perform QC inspections using hand gages, Zeiss CMM, profilometer, interferometer, measuring microscope.
    • Charting.
    • Controlling nonconforming product.
    • Strong communication skills needed to promote problem resolution.
    • Receiving inspections.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous inspection experience including optical measurements.
    • Programming Coordinate Measuring Machine (Zeiss CMM Calypso or equivalent) experience required.
    • MS Access experience is a plus.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to precision.
    • Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
    • Proficiency in using quality control tools and equipment.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
