High performance optical components for medical devices

At Apollo, we partner with some of the most innovative medical device companies to help them meet their challenging optical requirements:

  • Endoscopes
Low-cost, lightweight, and contaminant-resistant, polymer optics offer big advantages in medical applications. Ideal for single-use applications, they enable new, sterile optics for each procedure, eliminating the need for autoclaving.
  • Position/ Fiducial Markers
Accurate markers are critical for precise guidance in robotic surgeries. Flexible, biocompatible polymers can be used with a variety of imaging technologies, including X-ray, CT scans, and ultrasound.
  • Medical Sensing
Customized polymer optics can contribute to improved resolution, contrast, and sensitivity in microscopy, spectroscopy, and other sensing applications like blood analyzers.  Complex optical paths can be provided within a single part!
  • Disposable Covers
Plastic covers provide an inexpensive method for protecting Medical Devices without sacrificing sensitivity or optical quality.

Apollo is ISO 13585-2016 (Medical Device Quality Management) certified.
