Polymers for Zemax
DESIGNING IN OPTICAL POLYMERS JUST GOT EASIER
Use our catalog for optical polymers in Ansys Zemax OpticStudio. Optical designers can add it to their Zemax Materials Library for accurate modeling and simulation using a range of polymer materials.
We have pulled all the latest and best data sources for optical polymers into one new catalog that you can use for both early stage (look at the _GENERIC materials) and late stage (data on specific media that we always have in stock). Designing using this catalog means you are designing with the best data available!
INSTALLATION
Install the .agf file wherever you keep glass catalogs (Zemax calls everything glass, even plastics, gases and vacuum!). By default, the folder is in Documents/Zemax/GlassCat but you can check in OpticStudio under Setup (1) OpticStudio Preferences (2), then select Folders (3) and finally Glass (4):
Then you can access all the data in detail via the Materials Catalog and see the data graphically using the Materials…Analyses dropdown in the OpticStudio Libraries tab. Designing with polymers can be complex and choosing the best one is not always obvious. Contact us for help with materials selection.
